Middle Farm Holiday Cottages
| Middle Farm, Brushfield lies on a sunny south-facing hillside high above Taddington Dale - a deep-cut limestone dale along which winds the A6 road. We have two cottages. Maigold Cottage is a single-storey barn conversion and sleeps 4. Albertine Cottage is a converted barn on two storeys and sleeps 8. This is one of the best rural locations in Derbyshire. Approached along a quiet country lane and surrounded by fields and woodland, Middle Farm is hidden deep in the countryside, yet it is only a short distance from the main A6 road between Bakewell and Buxton. The area around Brushfield has been farmed since Neolithic times and the farm lies close to some of the finest scenery and walking country in the Peak District. Monsal Dale is literally just around the corner and Miller's Dale is only a short walk away. It is ideal for those wishing to explore the rich diversity of life and landscape within the Peak District. There are many beautiful walks from the doorstep and Brushfield is an ideal base for those wishing to enjoy an activity holiday with nearby facilities/locations for rock climbing, caving, horse riding, gliding, fishing and mountain biking The cottages are adjacent to the owner's farmhouse and are within easy reach of many local attractions. Bakewell is 7 miles, Buxton 7 miles, Chatsworth 6 miles, Matlock 12 miles, Hope Valley 12 miles and the village of Taddington 1 mile from the farm. |

Some comments from our visitors' book .... |
A really lovely stay in a superb cottage. Lovely walks from the cottage to Litton Mill and Millers Dale. . Easily the most comfortable cottage we've ever stayed in. Surroundings are beautiful and there's so many places to visit we'll just have to come back again. It is lovely here - we want to return not just to visit all the places but to stay in this enchanting cottage and enjoy its lovely peaceful surroundings. |
