Riding House Farm is a traditional Derbyshire hill farm rearing beef and sheep. It nestles under the Losehill Ridge with wonderful south facing views across the Hope Valley. It is a walkers' paradise with direct access to the footpath network. Riding House Farm is a working farm of 140 acres. If you bring your wellies you will be able to see the newborn lambs in Spring, visit the calf house and even feed the hens! There is an abundance of wildlife around especially in our own secluded bluebell wood. Milkmaid's Cottage is a lovely spacious one-bedroom cottage with a 6' bed. It has two bathrooms and an optional double sofa bed in the sitting room for occasional use. Shepherd's Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage, one double and one twin, with two bathrooms. It is ideal for four people. Many of the original old beams still feature in this cottage. Both cottages are furnished and equipped to the same high standard with careful attention to detail to make your stay memorable. Each cottage has full central heating and double glazing, two bathrooms: one upstairs with a bath, basin and WC, and a downstairs shower room with basin and WC. With TV, CD, DVD in the cosy sitting rooms and oven hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer in the kitchen areas everything is provided for you. There is also an adjacent laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for your free use. Wifi also available Outside is your private parking area with seating to enjoy a barbecue and drink, enjoying the view across the valley. From your doorstep you can take the footpath directly to Lose Hill Ridge and enjoy another spectacular view over the Edale Valley to the famous Kinder Scout. David and Denise Matthews have farmed at Riding House for over 20 years. They are the modern day Shepherd and Milkmaid! If needed, they will be on hand to help you make the most of your stay in the Peak District National Park. Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement The Hope Valley is an ideal base for exploring the treasures of the Peak District. In addition to the wonderful scenery, there are numerous attractions including nearby Castleton caves and castle, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the plague village of Eyam. If you have any energy left after walking the hills, the Hope Valley offers climbing, cycling, pony trekking, swimming, angling, gliding and parascending. Or why not just relax!

One of just six houses in the parish of Gratton, Dale End House is found on a quiet lane between Elton and Youlgreave. It enjoys unspoilt countryside, popular with walkers and mountain bikers alike yet is only six miles from Bakewell and Matlock. Bed & Breakfast accommodation is available at The Lodge, a stone built former milking parlour set within the grounds of this fine Grade II listed Derbyshire long house. The Lodge has recently been loving restored to an exceptionally high standard. It has a large open plan lounge with sofa and TV, a dining area and shower room. Under floor heating throughout. The bedroom has an antique double bed with down duvet and feather pillows romantically lit by a crystal chandelier. Decorated throughout with fine furnishings and historical colours. Overlooking a courtyard with ducks, goats and chickens and a traditional 2 storey stable block on one side and open fields, sheep and a babbling brook on the other. There is ample parking and secure indoor space for bikes; with 4 stables you can even bring your horse! The Lodge is non-smoking. Obedient dogs are welcome for a small additional cost. Tea and coffee making facilities are available at all times. A locally sourced full English breakfast will be served in the dining area. We discovered the house whilst mountain biking through Gratton Dale and instantly fell in love with it. Set in the former grounds of Sandybrook Hall, an elegant early 19th century manor house, Sandybrook Country Park provides delightful views across the surrounding countryside. The luxury Pinelodges provide attractive and very comfortable self-catering accommodation. Fully insulated, they are cosy in winter yet cool and airy in summer. The lodges are furnished to the highest standard with one, two, three or four bedroom options, sleeping up to eight people. Luxurious Elvaston lodges sleeping 2, are perfect for a romantic weekend, with sauna and whirlpool jet bath.  Outdoor hot tubs are available on the verandah of some lodges. This fabulous large, luxury, self-catering, character cottage dates from 1709 and is Grade II listed. Built in mellow sandstone, Hillside Croft, has oak beams in every room, inglenook fireplaces with cosy wood burning stoves .and pretty leaded and mullioned windows add charm to this wonderful cottage. Nestling quietly amidst 6 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and pastureland this cottage is a delight. There is ample, private off road parking. Located in the gardens you have your own private hot tub, chimera and garden furniture to help you to relax and unwind.   Located in the Derbyshire Dales at the edge of the Peak District National Park and just over 1 mile from Carsington Water and central to all the many attractions and activities that Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire have to offer. Close to the historic Market and Spa towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock, Wirksworth and Buxton. The area has some amazing scenery and fantastic walks for all abilities.   There are 5 comfortable bedrooms (one is accessed via another), four of which are double and one twin giving sleeping capacity for 10 . Within these rooms are 4 further single beds and 2 single bed chairs giving total sleeping for 14 plus two if required. Hair dryers are provided in all rooms.   We provide 2 travel cots and two high chairs. All bedrooms at this luxury holiday cottage are furnished to a high standard with handmade antique pine furniture and co-ordinated furnishings. The floors are a mix of carpets, oak, tiled and stone floors lending character and warmth. There is one en suite bathroom and a fabulous master bathroom which has both a roll top bath and a walk in shower. There is a 3rd WC on the ground floor.   The lounge is separate to the dining room and both have magnificent oak beamed ceilings and warm log burning stoves. In the lounge are 3 comfortable sofa's for cosy evenings in with friends and family, a TV with teletext, video recorder, DVD player and Ipod dock are provided for your entertainment.There is Wi-Fi and full oil central heating.   The dining room has a large farmhouse table seating 10 to 14 with ease. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with all the creative chef will require. There are antique hand made pine kitchen units with a double French pottery sink set in tiled and marble worktops.   An automatic washer, tumble drier, dishwasher, fridge and fridge freezer, microwave and full electric halogen cooker with double oven are provided as well as many smaller items. The windows overlook the beautiful cottage gardens, with mint, lemon balm, chives, black currents and fruit trees.

Audrey's is a spacious detached property with all accommodation on the ground floor. It is situated less than a mile north of the spa town of Buxton in the heart of the beautiful Peak District. It sits within its own private gardens and has open views towards Buxton and over farmland at Barms Farm.
